Error while installing sharepoint foundation 2010
OS: Windows Server 2008 R2
Database: SQL Server 2012
Error:
Failed to create the configuration database.
An exception of type System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException was thrown. Additional exception information: Could not find stored procedure ‘sp_dboption’.

Solution:

Install Sharepoint 2010 SP1
